OOPS!

I posted some new pics today, but they are farther down the page. They are under June 3rd because I guess they post under the day they are sent instead of when actually posted. Crazy computers??????

How Dare I Forget the QUEEN!

Here's Queen Kallie on her thrown, keeping all of her royal subjects at bay. Which is quite the feat considering, their beastly nature. No names needed.

The Last Few of the Menagerie!

I hope I didn't forget anyone... As you can tell we love animals and they are a big part of our lives. I always say "This is it! NO MORE"... Well atleast until the next cute face comes along. :-)

A few of the girls looking for a treat. They seem to think everytime we come around their will be bread, leftovers or weeds. We have 14 hens altogether, half Araucana and half Rhode Island Reds. The Araucana lay beautiful pastel colored eggs in shades of blue, green and mauve. The Reds are a brown egg layer.

Our mallard ducks, new this spring, don't have names yet. They are still too young to tell if they are male or female. We think we have one of each, but only time will tell.

Fredrick our Jersey Wooly rabbit. It's hard to tell in this picture, but he has a blue/gray wool undercoat that he sheds. We are saving it to hopefully spin with our other wool. His hobbies include doing tricks for a yoggie (treat) and watching TV.

The gardens are all planted! We have been enjoying salad greens and kale already.

Drake and Jemima, our pair of dizzy pekin ducks.

The New Barn

Brad and Dad started the barn in mid-April. It's almost done, just needs a door and a little more trim. We went to Tractor Supply this morning and bought hog panels to section off the inside. We need to build a hay feeder yet.

Brad finished all the fence panels yesterday. It was calm enough out to use his paint sprayer. They look really nice! The posts will need to be painted by hand, but thats another days project.

This is Norton, our 1 yr. old black and tan dachshund. He's hanging out with Gandy.
