Beautiful Day!

Finally, a nice day! We spent most of the day in the gardens, planting potatoes, beets, squash, and watermelon. All we have left to plant is pumpkins and gourds. The puppies are getting better at being out with us in the yard. They must be getting board of rolling in the manure. Their new hobby is chasing the barn cats. The lambs are growing so fast, we noticed their coats were already looking a little small. I guess its back to the sewing machine...

Where is summer?

I can't believe this weather. Brrrrrrrrr! I think we are going to have to go out and scrounge up some wood and turn the stove back on. I'm wearing layers like I'm going snowmobiling. Ooops! I probably shouldn't have said that, it just might snow... It's good ole MICHIGAN, so I probably jinxed us when I put away the snow clothes early. I usually keep them in the backroom until July, just to be sure. :-) It's pathetic that I'm thinking of going to Muskegon today just because my car has HEAT. LOL

Just a few of our animals on the farm

It's going to take us a few days to get everybody posted. Otherwise I might be on the computer all night! LOL It has rained here the last 3 days and I'm ready to get outside tomorrow. I think it's supposed to be nice out???? Go figure, Brad has to go back to work tomorrow. Atleast he's been able to catch up on some well deserved rest.

Harris

Harris, the lop-eared bunny, playing in his tunnel outside in the backyard.

Louisa loves attention!!

Nudgie Bubbles, our 9 year old angus cow, was our bottle-fed baby. She is expecting her 6th calf any day now.

Eleanor

This is Eleanor!! She wants out to fresh grass but it has been raining for three days!

Here's our new lambs Eleanor and Louisa! They are wearing sheep coats to help keep their fleeces clean. We made them from upholstery fabric. Pretty snazzy, huh!

Hi everyone!

We thought this would be a fun way for us to share our life on the farm with all our family and friends. We will be putting up pics in the next couple days.
